Event at Marchmont

IN CONVERSATION WITH
DAVID EUSTACE
AT MARCHMONT HOUSE

Thanks to Hugo, the team behind the scenes at Marchmont House and the guests who joined us as part of the weekend art huddle and exhibition launch.

I was invited to do a series of talks on my life, work and photographic projects accompanied with a premier of images from the portfolio FRIENDS & ARTISTS in the ever developing artists' studio area.

I also exhibited, for the first time, a sculpture I made titled: LUNCH WITH GERTRUDE. Created with fallen leaves collected from the graveside of Gertrude Stein in Père Lachaise cemetery, Paris in the company of a friend and fellow artist Douglas Gordon.

Marchmont is a special place, a home to makers and creators and a community which lends support, encouragement and inspiration to anyone who becomes involved.

Following on from the weekend's success we also held a special drinks reception the following week at the Artists Studio space at Marchmont where the portfolio FRIENDS & ARTISTS was exhibited alongside prints from the portfolio TREE.

TREE was created in collaboration with Marchmont and accompanied by a beautiful poem by the artist J Daniel Beaudry titled, BREATH. More details on this project can be found here.

Please enjoy some snaps from a wonderful few days in a very special place created by some very interesting minds.
